Clean Vessel

  • We are not currently accepting applications for the Clean Vessel Act grant program. We are working on overhauling the grant program and application process, and hope to open the opportunity again in Spring 2021. Feel free to contact Chip Kosloski with questions.

    Program Objective:

    To provide new or upgraded pumpout stations and waste reception facilities to safely dispose of recreational boater sewage.

    Criteria:

    Approval based on the type of marine sewage disposal facility proposed, geographic location, number of boats served and cost.

    Eligibility:

    Grants are provided to both private and public boating facilities as long as they are open to the public. Eligible projects primarily include dump stations, additional pumpouts at large boating facilities, pump outs for mooring facilities with a minimum of 15 slips, and upgrading of older pumpout systems.
