Join pro walleye tournament angler Dan Miller, pro fisherman Edward Shaw and seasoned angler Francis Majszak for an in-depth masterclass on chasing trophy walleye in Michigan.
This comprehensive seminar walks you through exactly how professional anglers approach a full day on the water – from launch to landing fish. Whether you fish from a boat or from shore, this class will help you develop a clear game plan for every season.
Participants will learn about:
- Seasonal walleye behavior and migration patterns.
- How to break down new water quickly and effectively.
- Boat setup, trolling spreads and electronics basics.
- Shore fishing strategies and access tips.
- Rod, reel and line selection.
- Jigging, casting, trolling and live bait.
- Understanding structure, current, and forage.
- Michigan fishing regulations and legal considerations.
- Trophy care techniques from a master taxidermist.
DNR staff will be on hand to answer any regulations or licensing questions. You will also receive expert instruction on how to properly handle and preserve your fish if you plan to have it mounted.
Cost for the class is $35, which includes lunch and instruction.
