Learn about how the DNR raises and stocks fish. Many of our hatcheries have interpretive centers and all have staff who can give your class or group a guided tour.

Offering a variety of field trip options for your class. In addition to a general self-guided museum tour, you can choose from a diverse range of thematic programs on Michigan's history. Financial assistance may be available.
- Outdoor Adventure Center
Plan a day of adventure and fun. Groups of every age will be inspired by the richness of Michigan’s natural resources. Financial assistance may be available.
- Visitor Centers
Hosting fun and educational nature exhibits with access to nearby trails. For those that seek a more engaging educational experience, each center has interpreters offering a variety of programs that they will lead for school and other groups.
- Michigan Iron Industry Museum

- Wheels to Woods
Wheels to Woods provides funding to PreK-12 schools and other youth groups to pay for transportation costs for an educational field trip to a school forest, private forest, public forest or forest products company.
- Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones is an eight week summer program designed to teach outdoor skills to children, 9-16 years old, in a Michigan State Park.
