Created by passionate Michigan Department of Natural Resources employees, the idea for Michigan State Parks Card Game was born out of a creative mission to raise awareness of Michigan state parks. Conceived in December 2024, the game quickly evolved from a lunchtime prototype to rigorous play-testing sessions and finally to GrandCon 2025 in Grand Rapids, where attendees got their hands on official factory prototypes. Public feedback from local board-gamers and outdoor enthusiasts helped fine-tune the final experience. With the game now available for purchase, 100% of proceeds go directly to Michigan state parks.
