Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery & Visitor Center
Please contact the visitor center directly for hatchery tour times and availability. Trails and show pond are open year-round, dawn to dusk. On-leash dogs are welcome in outdoor areas.
This facility was established in 1927 and produces the following species for both inland and Great Lakes waters:
- Chinook salmon
- Muskellunge
- Steelhead
- Walleye
Hatchery Features
- Historic water wheel and show pond with trout, salmon and lake sturgeon
- Self-guided, marked trails through prairie, wetland and forest habitats
- Excellent bird and wildlife viewing opportunities, particularly during migrations
- Educational facilities featuring live animal exhibits, gift shop, exhibit hall and more
- Seasonal nature programs and field trips
