SPECIAL LOCAL WATERCRAFT CONTROLS - OCEANA COUNTY
ACKER LAKE - WC-64-95-001 - Slow-no wake speed.
On the waters of Acker lake, section 25, town 13 north, range 15 west, Greenwood township, Oceana county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a a slow-no wake speed.
The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

HIGH TOWER LAKE - WC-64-11-001 - Slow-no wake speed.
On the waters of High Tower Lake, located in section 19, town 14 north, range 15 west of Newfield township, county of Oceana, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.
Slow--no wake speed means a very slow speed whereby the wake or wash created by the motorboat would be minimal.
The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and/or with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

MCLAREN LAKE, SOUTHWEST PORTION - R281.764.1 - High-speed boating and water skiing prohibited.
1. On all those waters of McLaren lake lying westerly of a line 200 feet east and parallel with the section line common to sections 11 and 12, T14N, R15W, township of Newfield, county of Oceana, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall:
(a) Operate such motorboat at high speed, which means a speed at or above which a motorboat reaches a planing position.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

MCLAREN LAKE, NORTHWEST BAY - R281.764.2 - High-speed boating and water skiing prohibited.
2. Of all those waters of McLaren lake lying westerly of a line commencing at a point at the water's edge of said lake approximately 462 feet south of the center post of section 1, T14N, R15W, thence southwesterly to the opposite shore of a bay at a point on the south east and west 1/8 line of section 1, T14N, R15W, township of Newfield, county of Oceana, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall:
(a) Operate such motorboat at high speed, which means a speed at or above which a motorboat reaches a planing condition.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

PENTWATER LAKE AND ENTRANCE CHANNEL - R281.764.3 - Slow-no wake speed.
3. On the waters of the Pentwater lake and the entrance channel to Pentwater lake, village of Pentwater, township of Pentwater, county of Oceana, state of Michigan, from the Pentwater entrance channel pierhead to a line drawn from Popp's point in the village of Pentwater westerly to the west shore of Pentwater lake, no operator of any motorboat shall exceed a slow-no wake speed, which means a speed whereby the wake or wash created by the motorboat would be minimal.

SCHOOL SECTION LAKE - R281.764.5 -Hours for high-speed boating and water skiing.
5. On the waters of School Section lake, sections 15 and 16, town 16 north, range 15 west, Colfax township, Oceana county, it is unlawful between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day, to:
(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

SCHOOL SECTION LAKE - R281.764.6 - Slow-no wake speed zone.
6. On the waters of School Section lake, sections 15 and 16, town 16 north, range 15 west, Colfax township, Oceana county, west of a line from the most southerly point of lot 17, Dennis subdivision, southerly to the nearest opposite shore, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.

STONY CREEK - WC-64-99-001 - Slow-no wake speed.
On the waters of Stony Creek from the B-15 Bridge to Lake Michigan, all within sections 32, town 14 north, range 18 west, section 6(206) town 13 north, range 13 west, Benona township, Oceana county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.

WHITE RIVER - WC-64-14-001 - Slow-no wake speed.
On the waters of the White River, Oceana County beginning at the Hesperia Village Limit, described as T.14N.R.15W., Section 25, GPS coordinate, 43.568600/-86.049496, extending downstream within Sections 25, 35, and 36, with a downstream limit of T.14N.R.15W., Section 36, GPS coordinate 43.554407/-86.074923, further identified as the East Garfield Road Bridge, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.

4. On the waters of Upper Silver lake, sections 16, 17, 20, and 21, T15N, R18W, Golden township, Oceana county, it is unlawful between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day for the operator of a vessel to:
(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.
