Local controls

Some counties have special rules for hunting and boating, such as where rifles may be used or where motorboats, high-speed boating and water skiing are allowed.

These rules (known as controls) can be found by clicking on each county below.

Please note that there are additional rules and regulations defined in the Land Use Orders of the Director guiding the use of DNR-managed public lands, including the launching of motorized boats from certain locations.
