Residents and visitors are encouraged to practice sustainable habits by recycling items like glass and plastic bottles, aluminum cans and cardboard – whether by using recycling bins at many state parks or packing them back home. To take your environmental impact a step further, skip single-use plastics and pack your own reusable water bottles, plates, cups and utensils.
You can recycle at many of our state parks, recreation areas, and harbors. We partner with the Michigan Recycling Coalition to support these efforts.
