Step into the world of trail hunting and master the skills needed to transition from bait hunting to successfully tracking whitetail deer in the wild! Join us for an exciting, hands-on day of learning all about trail hunting, wildlife habitat management and how to stay safe while hunting.

This class will teach you to identify prime whitetail hunting spots using online maps, understand and manage the risks of chronic wasting disease and navigate key hunting regulations. Plus, you'll learn how to use scents and read deer sign to improve your chances of bagging a whitetail! Sponsored by Conquest Scents, Killer Food Plots and Odins Innovations, this class will cover everything you need to know to take your hunting skills to the next level. It will also include essential tips for managing your property to create optimal wildlife habitat for deer and other species, along with a comprehensive overview of the gear you’ll need to succeed in the field.

Cost is $30.

To register for this class, go to Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses and click on the "Purchase a license" button. Sign in (using either a username and password or your ID and birthdate), and find the class under the Outdoor Skills Academy tab.

Cancellation policy: To cancel your registration, please contact our Customer Service help desk line at 800-737-6367. Cancellations made up to 14 days prior to the program will be completely refunded to the original form of payment. If you cancel after the two-week deadline, no refund will be issued.
