Harrisville State Park - Hunters Education and International Bow Education Program
Hunting has been a strong custom in Michigan. It is a great family sport and contributes to wildlife management. Hunter’s education and bow education help train hunters to be safe, ethical and responsible, as well as continuing the hunting legacy.
This program is held every year in September. It is a two-day program with classroom instruction the first day, and with a passing score, field safety the second day. Throughout the program, students participate in a variety of activities such as .22 live rim fire, archery, a compass course, trapping, tree-stand safety, field safety and more. This course is a traditional combination course of both hunter's education and bow education.
- Booklets and supplies will be provided.
- If participant is 10 and under, parental/guardian supervision is mandatory.
- Please do not bring any weapons or own equipment.
