We are dedicated to:
• Improving and expanding public tree canopy.
• Increasing access to public trees and green space for all.
• Promoting and supporting tree care and management.
• Recognizing communities through programs like Tree City USA.
• Making communities greener, healthier and more resilient.We do this by providing:
√ Education and resources on tree planting, care and management.
√ Technical assistance to enhance local urban and community forestry programs.
√ Grant funding to support local urban and community forestry projects.
The program is 100% funded by a grant from the USDA Forest Service and is advised by the Michigan Urban and Community Forestry Council.
