SPECIAL LOCAL WATERCRAFT CONTROLS - HILLSDALE COUNTY

ADAMS LAKE - WC-30-98-001 - Slow-no wake speed.

On the waters of Lake Adams all within sections 21 and 28, town 6 south, range 2 west, Adams township, Hillsdale county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed

The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

BASS LAKE - WC-30-95-001 - Slow-no wake speed.

On the waters of Bass lake, in the channel area all within section 6, town 7 south, range 2 west, Jefferson township, Hillsdale county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.

The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

BEAR LAKE- WC - 30 - 96 - 001 - Hours for high speed boating.

On the waters of Bear Lake, sections 11 and 14, town 18 north, range 6 west, township of Cambria, county of Hillsdale, state of Michigan, it is unlawful between the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. of the following day to:

(a) operate a vessel at high speed,

(b) have in tow or shall otherwise assist in the propulsion of a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard or other contrivance.

The hours should be 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. of the following day when Eastern Daylight Savings Time is in effect. "High speed boating" is defined by the Marine Safety Act to mean a speed at or which a motorboat reaches a planning condition.

BIRD LAKE - R281.730.8 - Hours for slow-no wake speed.

8. On the waters of Bird lake, sections 27, 28, and 34, T7S, R2W, Jefferson township, Hillsdale county, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day.

CARPENTER LAKE - R281.730.3 - High-speed boating and water skiing prohibited.

3. On the waters of Carpenter lake, section 5, town 7 south, range 4 west, township of Reading, county of Hillsdale, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall:

(a) Operate such motorboat at high speed, which means a speed at or above which a motorboat reaches a planing condition.

(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

CARPENTER AND HEMLOCK LAKES, CONNECTING CHANNELS - R281.730.4 - Slow-no wake speed.

4. On the waters of the artificial channels connecting Carpenter lake and Hemlock lake, section 5, town 7 south, range 4 west, township of Reading, county of Hillsdale, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall exceed a slow-no wake speed, which means a speed whereby the wake or wash created by the motorboat would be minimal.

CRYSTAL AND PERCH LAKES - WC-30-97-002 - Slow-no wake speed.

On the waters of Crystal and Perch Lakes all within section 3, town 5 south, range 1 west, Somerset township, Hillsdale county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.

The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

GOOSE LAKE - R281.730.6 - Hours for high-speed boating and water skiing.

6. On the waters of Goose lake, section 17 and 18, town 5 south, range 1 west, Somerset township, Hillsdale county, it shall be unlawful, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day, to:

(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.

(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

HEMLOCK LAKE - R281.730.5 - High-speed boating and waterskiing hours.

5. On the waters of Hemlock lake, sections 32 and 33, town 6 south, range 4 west, sections 4 and 5, town 7 south, range 4 west, townships of Allen and Reading, county of Hillsdale, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat, during the period from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. the following day, shall:

(a) Operate such motorboat at high speed, which means a speed at or above which a motorboat reaches a planing condition.

(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

LAKE DIANE - R281.730.11 - Hours for high-speed boating and water skiing.

11. On the waters of Lake Diane, section 3, 4, 9, 10, and 34, T9S, R3W, Amboy township, Hillsdale county, it is unlawful, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day to:

(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.

(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

LAKE LEANN - WC-30-90-001 - Slow-no wake speed.

On the waters of Waldron bay, Cedar Court bay, Lemott bay, and Evelyn bay, and those channels connecting them to Lake LeAnn, sections 3, 4, 9, and 10, T5S, R1W, Somerset township, Hillsdale county, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.

LAKE PLEASANT - R281.730.10 - Hours for high-speed boating and water skiing.

10. On the waters of Lake Pleasant, section 8, T7S, R2W, Jefferson township, Hillsdale county, it is unlawful, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day, to:

(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.

(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, a water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

LONG LAKE - R281.730.1 - High-speed boating and water skiing hours.

1. On the waters of Long lake, sections 5, 8, and 17, town 7 south, range 4 west, township of Reading, county of Hillsdale, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat during the period from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. of the following day, shall:

(a) Operate such motorboat at high speed, which means a speed at or above which a motorboat reaches a planing condition.

(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

LONG LAKE CONNECTING CHANNEL - R281.730.2 - Slow-no wake speed.

2. On the waters of the channel connected to Long lake in the northeast 1/4 of section 8, town 7 south, range 4 west, township of Reading, county of Hillsdale, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall exceed a slow-no wake speed, which means a speed whereby the wake or wash created by the motorboat would be minimal.

LOON-, POPPLE-, BECKWITH-, AND BOBBY ALLEN LAKES - WC-30-99-001 - Slow-no wake speed.

On the waters of Loon, Popple, Bobby Allen and Beckwith Lakes, and their connecting channels, all within section 20, town 7 south, range 4 west, Reading township, Hillsdale county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.

The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

LITTLE GOOSE LAKE AND CANAL - R281.730.7 - Slow-no wake speed.

7. On the waters of Little Goose lake and canal to Goose lake, section 17, town 5 south, range 1 west, Somerset township, Hillsdale county, it shall be unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.

PIKE LAKE - R281.730.9 - Slow-no wake speed.

9. On the waters of Pike lake, section 7, 8, 17, and 18, T7S, R3W, Cambria township, Hillsdale county, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.
