ATWATER POND - WC-39-89-001 - Motorboats prohibited.
On the waters of Atwater Pond, section 1, town 3 south, range 12 west, Texas township, Kalamazoo county, it is unlawful to operate a vessel powered by a motor except an electric motor.

CHANNEL CONNECTING BLACK LAKE AND RAWSON LAKE - WC-39-99-001 - Slow-no wake speed.
On the waters of the channel connecting Black and Rawson lakes, sections 27 and 34, town 4 south, range 11 west, Schoolcraft township, Kalamazoo county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.
The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

On the waters of the channel connecting Hogsett and Gourdneck lakes, sections 3 and 4, town 4 south, range 11 west, Schoolcraft township, Kalamazoo county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.
The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System

8. On the waters of Eagle lake, sections 1 and 2, T2S, R9W, in Fort Custer recreation area, Charleston township, Kalamazoo county, it is unlawful to operate a vessel powered by a motor except an electric motor.

GULL CREEK - R281.739.3 - Slow-no wake speed.
3. On the waters of Gull creek, section 19, town 1 south, range 9 west, Ross township, Kalamazoo county, it shall be unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.

GULL LAKE – ROSS TOWNSHIP – WC-39-22-001 - Slow-no wake speed.
On that portion of the waters of Gull lake located within section 20, Ross township, Kalamazoo county, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed.
Slow-no wake speed means a very slow speed whereby the wake or wash created by the vessel would be minimal.
The slow-no wake area described above is further defined below:
All waters south of a line commencing where Avery street, as extended to the water’s edge, coordinates: 42° 22' 30.86"N, 85° 23' 33.94"W, (42.37524°, -85.39276°), and continuing east along the latitudinal line to the opposite shoreline, coordinates: 42° 22' 30.86"N, 85° 23' 19.75"W, (42.37524°, -85.38882°).
The boundaries of the area described above shall be marked with signs and/or with buoys at all points of public entry. It is the responsibility of Ross township to provide, place and maintain all signage, including any buoys, to notify boaters of this watercraft control. This includes all public access sites, with permission, within the area described above. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with Michigan’s approved Uniform Waterway Marking System. This local watercraft control is only enforceable when properly marked.

10. On the waters of Hogsett lake, sections 3 and 4, T4S, R11W, Schoolcraft township, Kalamazoo county, it is unlawful, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day, to:
(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, a water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

6. On the waters of Long, Portage, and Blue lakes, section 27, 33, and 34, T2S, R9W, Charleston township, Kalamazoo county, it is unlawful, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day, to:
(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

1. On the waters of Sherman lake, sections 29 and 32, town 1 south, range 9 west, Ross township, Kalamazoo county, it shall be unlawful, during the period from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. of the following day, to:
(a) Operate a vessel at high speed.
(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

4. On the waters of Whites lake, section 33, town 2 south, range 11 west, city of Kalamazoo, county of Kalamazoo, it is unlawful to operate a motorboat.

WOODS LAKE - WC-39-96-001 - No high-speed boating.
On the waters of Woods Lake, SE quarter of section 29, town 2 south, range 11 west, city of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to operate a vessel at high speed.
High-speed boating is defined by P.A. 303, 1967, Marine Safety Act, to mean a speed at or above which a motorboat reaches a planing condition.
The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.
