Want to try your hand at something new or make packing a little lighter? We've got you covered! The Michigan DNR and many of its business partners offer equipment rentals and guiding services in select locations.
State parks with boat rentals (canoes, kayaks, paddleboards)
Paddling is a fun way to explore Michigan's waterways . A handful of state parks offer equipment rentals.
Bike rentals
A handful of state parks offer bike rentals to help visitors explore the park.
Riding stables, horse rentals and guide services
A handful of privately owned riding stables and guiding services are located in southeastern Michigan state parks.
Camping unit and RV rentals
You're next trip just got easier. Many small businesses are permitted to rent camping units, such as RVs, in state parks and recreation areas
Track chairs
These off-road, electronic chairs can easily handle trails, snow, sand and up to 8 inches of water. They are free to rent.
Guided trips (winter paddling, backpacking, hiking)
Guide services offer the expertise, knowledge and outdoor equipment to help you try something new or hone your skills!
Cabins, lodges, safari tents, yurts and more
Many state parks offer overnight lodging options, such as cabins, lodges, safari-style tents, cottages and yurts.
Floating water parks
Fun-filled water parks feature inflatable slides, runways, jumping pillows, bouncers, climbing walls and more.
