2026 Free Snowmobiling Weekend!
Grab your friends, ride and test out 6,000-plus miles of DNR-designated snowmobile trails, public roads and public lands (where authorized) on two back-to-back days Jan. 10-11, 2026. Residents and out-of-state visitors legally can ride without the requirement of a snowmobile registration or trail permit. Learn more: Free Snowmobiling Weekend
A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.
