Proud Lake Rec Area - Carpe Diem - Carpe Noctem Half Marathon and 10K
This unique trail race features both morning and evening events, with a half marathon and 10K offered in each time slot. Morning races take place entirely in daylight, while evening races start before sunset and often finish under the stars, creating a true day-to-night running experience. Run morning, evening or both! The wide, well-marked trails are beginner-friendly while still offering enough roots, turns, and texture to keep seasoned trail runners engaged. Between races, runners are encouraged to stay and enjoy a relaxed community atmosphere with hot food, a potluck, recovery stretch from Advanced Physical Therapy, lawn games, music, coffee and campfires.
Please note that overnight camping is not available.
Interested in volunteering? We need help on the course and at registration/the finish line! Cheer with all you've got, hand out water and gels, check in runners, and hand out those hard-earned finisher medals.
A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.
Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
