Unemployment Update #8

The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) is transitioning to a new unemployment tax and benefits system called MiUI, which will replace the current Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM). MiUI is being rolled out in two phases: Tax functions are now live, and Benefits functions are scheduled to launch November 9.

In this issue of the MiUI Unemployment Update, we’re sharing details on where to find benefits information in MiUI.

Where to Find Benefits Information in MiUI

Anyone receiving benefits will be able to easily find important information and complete key actions related to a claim in MiUI.

• View determination letters to see decisions made on a claim, including payment amounts, approved weeks, claim dates, and any next steps.
• View correspondence to open letters and notices, check message dates and status, and stay up to date on claim activity.
• View claim history to track updates made to a claim over time, including changes to contact information or tax withholding.
• Check payments to review payment history and status, including amounts, dates, deductions, and remaining weeks and benefits.
• View weekly claims to review weekly filings and certifications, reopen or catch up on missed weeks, and help keep a claim current.
• Submit fact finding information by uploading documents when requested and providing details to support a claim for staff review.
