David Williams, of Elsie, is a fifth-generation farmer and co-owner of W Farms LLC, formerly known as Williams Farms. He attended Michigan State University and worked for a short while at a railroad in Chicago before returning to the family farm. He was recognized in 2017 as a Master Farmer for his many years of agricultural ambassadorship and land stewardship. Williams has previously served as president of the Michigan Soybean Association and as a director representing Michigan on the United Soybean Board. Mr. Williams is appointed to represent independents, for a term commencing March 14, 2023, and expiring December 31, 2026.
