MDARD Human Resources Director
Selena Conklin is the Human Resource Director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). As HR Director, she determines operating policies and implementation methods for all human resource programs and issues related to classification, selection, compensation and benefits, recruitment, labor relations, and performance management. Provides counsel and advice to management on a wide range of personnel related matters. Serves as a member of MDARD’s Executive Team, assisting with the development of departmental policies to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
Selena has more than 15 years of experience in Human Resource Administration where she has worked in payroll and transactions, classifications and selections, and labor relations.
Selena earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialty in Human Resources from Davenport University. She enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her children in their adventures.
