The Farm to Family team cares about listening to communities and responding to their needs. We adjust our grants, resources, and support based on what we learn from people involved in the program. To do this, we hold listening sessions, run focus groups at conferences and events, and get regular feedback from our grantees. Our goal is to visit every region of the state each year. We want to understand the different needs of people in every county when deciding how to fund projects. By sponsoring events, meeting people directly, and organizing discussions, we connect with farmers, food businesses, and other partners across the food system.
The Farm to Family Program completed its first statewide listening session tour in 2026, gathering input from farmers and producers across Michigan. Read the final report to learn more about the challenges, needs, and priorities identified through these conversations.
We will be updating this page regularly with additional opportunities to connect with our team.
