10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. AND 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

Join us for a guided hike through the Old Growth Forest. This just-over-one-mile walk includes stops along the way to learn about the ecology of the forest and the lumberjacks who lived and worked in logging camps in the early 1900s.

All ages are welcome; families with very young children may wish to bring a sled, as little hikers can find the hike tiring.

Please dress for the weather, as winter conditions can range from deep snow to no snow (in which case the hike will be on foot), or icy trails. Snowshoes are available to borrow, or feel free to bring your own if you have them.

Space for this free event is limited to 20 participants, with registration required.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
