Join us at Tahquamenon Falls State Park for Harvest Fest, a weekend full of fall fun, family activities and seasonal traditions!

Friday, September 25

6–8 p.m. – Vampire Fish!
Lower Falls Amphitheater
Learn about sea lampreys and their impact on the Great Lakes during this fascinating presentation featuring live specimens. Guest presenter Meg Sigmon from the Great Lakes Fishery Commission will lead the program.

Saturday, September 26

9–10 a.m. – Coffee, Donuts & Hot Chocolate
Campground Host Sites
Start your morning with a warm drink and sweet treat!

10 a.m. – Hayride with Smokey Bear
Hemlock Campground Entrance
Hop aboard for a fun hayride with a special visit from Smokey Bear!

11 a.m.–1 p.m. – Open Archery Shoot
Archery Range
Come anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to learn the basics of archery and try your hand at shooting a bow. Park equipment must be used; personal bows are not permitted.

1 p.m. – Hayride with Smokey Bear

Enjoy another opportunity to take a hayride with Smokey Bear!

1–3 p.m. – Candle Dipping Craft
Lower Falls Picnic Area
Create your own unique candle with this fun, hands-on fall craft.

2–4 p.m. – Pumpkin Judging: People’s Choice
Lower Falls Picnic Area
Check out the creative pumpkin entries and cast your vote for your favorite!

2–4 p.m. – Campsite Judging: Staff Choice
Staff will be visiting campsites throughout the Lower Falls campgrounds to select their favorites.

2–4 p.m. – Chili Cook-Off
Portage Campground – Near Bathroom Building
Sample delicious homemade chili and see which entry takes home the top prize!

4–5 p.m. – Tahquamenon Staff Play
Lower Falls Amphitheater
Gather with family and friends for a fun performance by Tahquamenon Falls State Park staff.

5–5:30 p.m. – Best in Show Awards
Lower Falls Amphitheater
Come dressed in your favorite costume for the Costume Catwalk immediately following the staff play! Awards will be presented for pumpkins, campsites, the chili cook-off and Best Dressed.

5:30–7:30 p.m. – Trick-or-Treating
All Lower Falls Campgrounds
Wrap up the day with an evening of trick-or-treating throughout the Lower Falls campgrounds. Costumes are encouraged!
