Welcome to the Corporations Division
Effective on Monday, March 16, 2020, the Corporations, Securities & Commercial Licensing Bureau will be closed to public visitors and walk-in customers until further notice.
In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Corporations Division is transitioning to new processes and procedures while continuing to serve businesses, the public, and stakeholders in a manner that implements social distancing.
Our objective is to not disrupt the services and support that you receive from the Corporations Division Team. As such, we ask for your understanding during this state of emergency and provide your questions by email to: CorpsMail@michigan.gov, and we will respond as quickly as possible. You may also contact us at 517-241-6470.
Also, we strongly encourage you conduct business with us online through our Corporations Online Filing System (COFS) at www.michigan.gov/corpfileonline, instead of by U.S. mail, FedEx, or UPS.
The Corporations Division promotes economic development and growth by facilitating the formation of business entities in Michigan. The Division provides services that enable corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and limited liability partnerships to be formed, and for foreign entities to obtain a certificate of authority to transact business.
