Effective on Monday, March 16, 2020, the Corporations, Securities & Commercial Licensing Bureau will be closed to public visitors and walk-in customers until further notice.
In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Corporations Division is transitioning to new processes and procedures while continuing to serve businesses, the public, and stakeholders in a manner that implements social distancing.
Our objective is to not disrupt the services and support that you receive from the Corporations Division Team. Also, we strongly encourage you conduct business with us online through our Corporations Online Filing System (COFS) at www.michigan.gov/corpfileonline, instead of by U.S. mail, FedEx, or UPS.
The Corporations Division promotes economic development and growth by facilitating the formation of business entities in Michigan. The Division provides services that enable corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and limited liability partnerships to be formed, and for foreign entities to obtain a certificate of authority to transact business.

Reminder: Profit Corporation Annual Reports Were Due On May 15, 2020.
Late filing penalties will be assessed for annual reports received after September 4, 2020.
The 2020 profit corporation annual report can be filed online at: www.michigan.gov/corpfileonline.
