Intramural sports
Intramural leagues are formed for basketball, volleyball, softball, golf, archery, and bowling. Teams are usually formed from trade training areas or dormitory floors.

Water activities
MCTI's 700 feet of accessible lakefront on Pine Lake provides opportunities for boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, and leisurely pontoon rides.

Off-campus activities
Off-campus activities are also available. The Leisure Service staff take students to a wide variety of community events, including local festivals, parades, hockey games, basketball games, football games, and cultural activities. Students are also given the opportunity to participate in beach trips, bike trips, skiing activities, mall trips, and movie runs.

Leisure Service
The Leisure Service building is open for student activities from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is also open for eight hours each Saturday and Sunday, and on weekday holidays when school is in session.

The Canteen
The canteen area of the main building provides students with the opportunity to play pool, table tennis, and foosball during its open hours. There is also a large-screen television in this area for student use. Vending machines for coffee, soft drinks, and snacks are also located in the canteen.
