Specialty Crop Block Grants

Overview

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Specialty Crop Block Grant (SCBG) Program awards funds to projects to enhance the competitiveness of Michigan specialty crops, which include fruits and vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits, horticulture, and nursery crops (including floriculture).

Grant Program Status

The 2026 Grant Cycle Request for Proposals will open on December 17, 2025 and will close on February 5, 2026 at 5 p.m. EST. All applications must be submitted on the new MiAgGrants site under a Citizen or Business Account. Find support and learn more about the MiAgGrants and MiLogin partnership.
