LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Craft Beverage Council (MCBC) announced today that it will accept proposals for the 2027 research and education grant program until Friday, October 9, 2026, at 3 p.m. (ET).
The MCBC awards individual research grants of up to $40,000. While any research topic will be considered, the MCBC has identified the following priorities:
The MCBC also awards individual education grants of up to $5,000. These grants are intended to support education efforts that strengthen Michigan’s craft beverage industry. Educational projects must:
A joint evaluation committee will review all proposals and support requests for research and education grants in December 2026 with funding decisions expected early in 2027.
Prospective applicants must email proposals and letters of support requests to MDARD-CraftBev@Michigan.gov no later than 3 p.m. (ET) on Friday, October 9, 2026. An infected two and a half-year-old deer was discovered in Calhoun County, an infected four-year-old deer was detected in Kent County, and a three-year-old deer was found in Mackinac County.
