Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) 

The Michigan SBDC provides consulting, training and research to assist small business to launch, grow, transition and innovate. The Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) enhances Michigan's economic wellbeing by providing consulting, training and market research for new ventures, existing small businesses and advanced technology companies.

The Michigan SBDC assists Michigan small businesses to launch, grow, transition and innovate by providing the following services and programs:

  • Business Workshops
  • Financial Management
  • Export Strategy
  • Strategic Planning
  • Bridging technology development gaps and commercialization
  • Understanding the range of loans, grants and financing option

With 11 regional offices and more than 20 satellite offices, the SBDC provide entrepreneurs and business owners with convenient access to provide counseling and training throughout Michigan.

Michigan State University (MSU) Product Center

The MSU Product Center Food-Ag-Bio was established in Spring, 2003 with funds from the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station and Michigan State University Extension to improve economic opportunities in the Michigan agriculture, food and natural resource sectors. The Product Center can help develop and commercialize high value, consumer-responsive products and businesses in the agriculture and natural resource sectors. Whether a budding entrepreneur or an established company, the Center is a key to the front door of MSU's vast and varied technical expertise, research, outreach, and educational services.
