Licensing and Regulatory Affairs
The Corporations, Securities & Commercial Licensing Bureau (CSCL) supports business growth and job creation while protecting the health, safety, and welfare of Michigan's citizens through a simple, fair, efficient, and transparent regulatory structure.
One of the goals of the Corporations, Securities, & Commercial Licensing Bureau is to protect consumers through the licensing and regulation of certain professions, occupations, businesses and services. While the Bureau does not have the authority to enforce the ethical standards of a profession, or to handle fee disputes, it does have the authority to investigate and to pursue disciplinary action against a license, registration or permit issued by the Bureau.
