MDOT regions

MDOT’s seven region offices manage construction, maintenance and transportation programs within their geographic areas.

Each region includes several Transportation Service Centers (TSCs), located so every Michigan resident is within about an hour of one. TSCs issue permits, oversee road and bridge work, respond to urgent issues like storm‑related closures, advise communities on state and federal funding, and provide travel information on construction, detours, traffic delays, weather conditions and traffic volumes.
