About the Region

The Superior Region manages 4,400 lane miles of state trunkline in the 15 counties of the Upper Peninsula. The region has three transportation service centers, one business office, four maintenance garages, one sign shop, one materials testing lab, and six welcome centers.

Regions and TSCs work with local governments, elected officials, stakeholders, and residents to ensure positive transportation decisions that keep people and goods moving safely, efficiently, and reliably through the region.
