Purchasing opportunities
Purchases under $50,000 may be handled directly by designated MDOT staff across the state. Vendors can contact regional MDOT offices to share information about the services, supplies and materials they provide. Region staff coordinate with the Contract Services Division, Purchasing Section to process these procurements using the appropriate method.
Purchases over $50,000 are managed by the Contract Services Division, Purchasing Section and/or the Department of Technology, Management & Budget, depending on the purchase type. The State of Michigan uses a competitive solicitation process. Vendors must register with the SIGMA Vendor Self Service (VSS) system to bid on solicitations. Registration is free, and opportunities over $50,000 are posted daily.
