M-21 detoured at Durand Road for culvert work in Shiawassee County starting Aug. 8
August 02, 2022
DAVISON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin work to replace the culvert at the M-21/Durand Road intersection in Shiawassee County. This work is part of a $6.2 million investment to resurface 9.5 miles of M-21 from State Road to M-13.
Monday, Aug. 8, 2022
Estimated end date:
Beginning Aug. 8, M-21 will be detoured via M-13, I-69, M-71, and Shiawassee Street/State Road. This detour expected to be in place through the end of September, weather permitting.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 79 jobs.
This work will improve the driving surface of M-21, extending the life of the roadway, and replace an aging culvert.
