M-1 (Woodward Avenue) project between M-102 (8 Mile Road) and I-696 begins in Oakland County

FERNDALE/PLEASANT RIDGE, Mich. - Beginning at Monday, March 20, lane closures will begin with day time and night time closures on M-1 (Woodward Avenue) between M-102 (8 Mile Road) and I-696. The work will include sidewalk upgrades, drainage improvements, resurfacing on M-1, installation of bike lanes, and signal work. The project is expected to be completed in late fall 2023.
Beginning 5 a.m., Monday, March 20 through late fall, northbound and southbound M-1 between M-102 (8 Mile Road) and I-696 will have continuous and changing lane closures.
Daytime: 5 a.m. – 8 p.m., there will be 2-3 lanes open.
Nighttime/Weekends: 8 p.m. – 5 a.m., there will be 1-2 lanes open.
