Southbound US-23 intermittent closures in Ypsilanti start Wednesday for bridge beam setting

LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will have intermittent closures Wednesday night/Thursday morning on southbound US-23 from I-94 to Textile Road for beam setting at US-12 (Michigan Avenue) in Washtenaw County.

Traffic restrictions:
This work will require intermittent 15-minute closures on southbound US-23 from I-94 to Textile Road.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

Safety benefit:
This beam setting work will improve the US-12 (Michigan Avenue) bridge over I-94. Closing lanes during this type of work is necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists.
