MDOT upgrading four rural intersections starting Friday

MARSHALL, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $675,000 to upgrade four rural intersections with advance warning systems:

MDOT will be installing yellow warning signs with a flashing beacon in advance of the intersections, alerting drivers to potential merging traffic.

Counties:
Branch, Cass, and Calhoun

Highways:
M-51, M-60, M-66, and M-99

Closest city:
Athens, Dowagiac, Union City, and Homer

Friday, July 7, 2023

Estimated end date:
Friday, Oct. 27, 2023

Traffic restrictions:
Drivers should expect lane closures and traffic regulators.

Safety benefit:
This work will improve safety at rural intersections with state highways.
