M-29 (23 Mile Road) will have one lane open at I-94 for interchange work in Macomb County

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Beginning 6 a.m. Monday, July 24, M-29 (23 Mile Road) will only have one lane open in each direction at I-94 through mid-August during rebuilding at the M-29/I-94 interchange.

This work is part of a $32.5 million I-94 project from M-29 (23 Mile Road) to County Line Road that includes 6.1 miles of asphalt milling and resurfacing, bridge work at six locations, traffic signal upgrades, and partial ramp rebuilding at the I-94/M-19 and I-94/M-29 interchanges. Work will be completed by late fall.

Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support about 393 jobs.
