Eastbound I-94 weekend, overnight closures for bridge work start Sept. 8 in Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. - Beginning this weekend and then overnights during the next two weeks, eastbound I-94 will be closed from US-12 (Michigan Avenue) to Livernois Road, including all on and off ramps, for bridge work at multiple locations. The freeway will be open during the day and rush hours.
The closures begin 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, followed by overnight work:
- 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 11 - 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12
- 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 - 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13
- 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25 - 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26
- 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 - 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27
Eastbound I-94 traffic will be detoured to eastbound US-12 (Michigan Avenue), then northbound Livernois Road back to eastbound I-94.
