MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $36.9 million to improve 6.5 miles of US-127 from M-57 to Bagley Road in Gratiot County.
Work includes resurfacing and pavement repairs, culvert replacements, the addition of indirect left turns, guardrail improvements, bridge repairs, pavement markings, and resurfacing at the carpool lot on US-127/M-57. This fall, crews plan to replace the railroad crossing north of M-57, begin tree clearing, and complete other preliminary construction to stage the work zone for spring 2024.
