Southbound I-75 lane closures in Monroe County begin Wednesday

LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will have the following restrictions in place along southbound I-75 for ramp rebuilding:
- Southbound I-75 traffic shifted to northbound lanes from Otter Creek to Erie Road,
- The southbound I-75 on and off ramps to Luna Pier Road will be closed, and
- The southbound I-75 on and off ramps at Otter Creek Road will be closed.

Traffic restrictions:
This work will require shifting southbound I-75 traffic to the northbound side between Otter Creek and Erie Road from 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, until 6 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.
The Luna Pier Road ramp to southbound I-75 will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, March 25, until 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7. Traffic will be detoured via M-125 and Erie Road to southbound I-75.
The Otter Creek Road ramp to southbound I-75 will be closed from 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, until 5 p.m. Friday, June 21. Traffic will be detoured via M-125 and Luna Pier Road to southbound I-75.
The southbound I-75 ramp to Otter Creek Road will be closed from 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, until 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24. Traffic will be detoured via southbound I-75, Luna Pier Road, and M-125 to Otter Creek Road.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

Based on economic modeling, this $128 million investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 1,817 jobs.
These improvements will provide drivers with a smoother, safer driving surface.
