Iron River traffic signal work next week
May 07, 2024
IRON RIVER, Mich. - Crews from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be working on upgrading traffic signal equipment at the US-2/M-189 (North 4th Avenue) intersection in Iron River next week.
Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures at the intersection Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, May 13, 14, and 16. MDOT urges drivers to use caution when approaching the intersection while work is in progress.
Updated traffic detection equipment and a pedestrian pushbutton will be installed at the intersection to make the signal operate more efficiently.
