Southbound I-75 lane closure begins Oct. 14 for maintenance in Genesee County

DAVISON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $500,000 to perform drainage maintenance on southbound I-75 from Court Street to US-23 in Genesee County. Work will include drainage structure and barrier wall repairs.

Traffic restrictions:
This work will be done in two stages. Starting Oct. 14, work will begin on the stretch from Court Street to Miller Road and is expected to end on Oct. 31. Work will then begin on the second stage from Miller Road from US-23 and last for two weeks.
Two lanes will remain open during each stage of the project.
Jobs numbers:
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support six jobs.
Safety benefit:
This closure will allow crews to safely perform drainage work along I-75. Improved drainage will ensure the stability and integrity of the overall infrastructure.
