Safety Seminar Information
Airport Managers, Fixed Base Operators, Flying Clubs, EAA Chapters, etc.
The Michigan Department of Transportation would like to invite you to sponsor a pilot safety seminar. As the host of a safety seminar, you will have the opportunity to meet pilots from around the state, potential customers, renters, students, club members, or just good friends with great hangar-flying stories. We ask that you arrange a meeting location (FBO, EAA chapter hangar, library, auditorium, etc.) of adequate size for the anticipated crowd. Additionally, many sponsors choose to provide refreshments. We are happy to conduct the entire seminar, or you may wish to invite a local speaker to participate. All seminars are open to the public and are free of charge. Most of the programs last between 60 and 90 minutes. Our programs are sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Michigan FAASTeam. They also qualify for the FAA "Wings" program. Pilots must register at www.faasafety.gov.
