Huron Mobility Initiative

Description: Huron Mobility Initiative demonstrates advanced mobile and online technologies to enhance customer mobility access and improve regional transit coordination among Huron, Sanilac, and portions of Tuscola counties. Technology platforms will enable customers to seek regional mobility options and availability, schedule transportation, and pay for services through mobile and online services.
Award amount: $435,640
Current status: Mobility platform is fully operational and is live in Huron County. On-demand rides have been successfully booked using the app, and rides have been performed. Regional transit coordination can be launched immediately upon other agencies' desire, availability and to work with Uber to develop the service area.
