2022 Rural Transit Facilities Assessments
Baker and Associates was hired in February 2022 to conduct facility condition assessments on-site at transit agencies who are OPT’s subrecipients of Federal Section 5311 Rural Area Formula Program and/or Federal Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program funds who are not direct recipients of Federal Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula Program funds and have a facility that has federal funding. There were 82 sites among Michigan agencies state-wide that require facility assessments using FTA’s TERM scale which is a five-point scale with ratings of Excellent, Good, Adequate, Marginal or Poor. Results were aggregated using the Median Value method. At the MPTA annual conference held August 22 – 24, 2022, Baker and Associated presented information as it related to the work, they conducted for facility condition assessments.
