The committee is responsible for providing expert guidance on shaping, evaluating and studying the pilot program, reviewing different alternatives to the fuel tax, gathering public input on concerns and ideas including technology and privacy issues, making recommendations to MDOT leadership on the pilot program’s design and evaluation criteria, and consulting with a broad range of stakeholders such as vehicle owners, auto manufacturers, fuel distributors and other transportation groups.
