Transportation Technician Track
Dive into practical, hands-on or lab-based work focused on becoming a skilled transportation technician. Gain valuable experience in maintaining and improving transportation systems, contributing to the smooth flow of traffic and overall infrastructure reliability.
- Up to three participants in the materials lab, Lansing TSC and the Jackson TSC.
Landscaping Maintenance Track
For this track, you will be helping the area with landscaping and area beautification projects in the region. You will also have an opportunity to engage department professionals to find the right fit for your career.
- Up to 15 participants in Jackson, Lansing, Adrian and Brighton.
About University Region
The University Region manages more than 4,100 lane miles of state trunkline in nine counties: Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Jackson, Hillsdale, Lenawee, Monroe, Washtenaw, and Livingston. In addition to the region office centered in Jackson, there are three transportation service centers, five garages, one special crews garage, and two welcome centers.
