In partnership with the City of Ionia, MDOT invites the public to a meeting to discuss a planned 2027 project to rebuild M-66 (State Street) from Tuttle Road north to Wells Street in the city of Ionia. Work includes rebuilding the roadway, upgrading stormwater infrastructure, bridge improvements over the Grand River and replacing a culvert south of Riverside Drive. At the meeting, MDOT staff will provide project details, including traffic maintenance and scheduling. Project overview presentations are scheduled for 5:10 and 6:10 p.m. but the public is invited to stop by any time during the meeting to learn more about the project and provide comments.
Accessibility:
Attendees who require mobility, visual, hearing, written or other assistance for effective participation should contact Orlando Curry at 517-241-7462 or CurryO@Michigan.gov, preferably at least five business days prior to the scheduled meeting. Forms are located on the Title VI webpage. Requests made after this timeframe will be evaluated and honored to the extent possible.
In partnership with Ionia County Road Department, Ionia Township and others, the project also includes a new nonmotorized facility from Tuttle Road north to the bridge over the Grand River.
