M-46 roadway improvements in Sanilac County start July 29

SAGINAW, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $1.1 million in resurfacing efforts along 7.8 miles of M-46 in Sanilac County. Work includes joint repairs, chip sealing, micro-resurfacing, shoulder improvements, and pavement markings from east of M-53 to west of M-19.

Traffic will be maintained with lane closures and traffic regulators during daytime hours. All lane closures will be removed overnight.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 14 jobs.
This work will provide a smoother driving surface and extend the life of the road.
