BRUCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Beginning Monday, October 10, northbound and southbound M-53 (Van Dyke Avenue) will have lane closures between 34 Mile and Bordman roads for warranty repairs through late November. The project's work schedule will be announced as soon as the final schedule is known.
While M-53 will not be closed, traffic will be stopped at times during this concrete patching and crack sealing, causing long delays. Alternate routes are strongly advised for commuters, law enforcement, and first responders. Drivers are reminded that local roads may be used as an alternate route, provided their vehicle and/or load is legal for those particular roads.
