Joy Road closures at US-23 in Washtenaw County begin Monday

LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be performing bridge maintenance on Joy Road over US-23. This work will require closing the two right lanes of southbound US-23 and both directions of Joy Road

Traffic restrictions:
This work will require closing the two right lanes of southbound traffic daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday on southbound US-23.

Eastbound and westbound Joy Road will be detoured via Gleaner Hall Road and Whitmore Lake Road to Warren Road.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

These improvements will extend the life of the bridge and ramps.
